Products
STG produces miniature reed switches using technology supplied by the Comus Group collaborator. Reed switches are used as control devices across a wide range of applications — aircraft industry, power electronics, telecommunications, industrial control equipment, and automobile electronics. The company's products are widely marketed in Europe, the US, and other countries.
Manufacturing and materials
The manufacturing process involves sealing two flattened ferromagnetic reeds inside a glass tube in a neutral atmosphere. The reed blades are plated with rhodium and gold under a sophisticated process. The result is a high-quality reed switch with high shelf life conforming to international standards.
Required raw materials — nickel, iron wire, glass tubes, gold, potassium cyanide, rhodium replenished, and certain chemicals and gas — are imported. Other raw materials and chemicals are sourced locally.

- Power
- Sanctioned load of 532 KW (maximum demand 400 KVA) from Tamil Nadu Electricity Board. Standby diesel generator set of 625 KVA (500 + 125 KVA) for continuous operation during interruptions.
